Our sleep lab

Since spring 2015 we are happy to announce that we have our own sleep laboratory, which we use in collaboration with the Institute of Cognitive Science (e.g. for bachelor's theses' experiments). This summer, we had to move to a new location near the Schloss, which has two nice rooms (one for the subject to sleep in and one for the experimenter to control the experiment). In some of the pictures above you still see our old sleep lab.

Our sleep lab is equipped with a 10-20-EEG and a complete polysomnographic recording system, which was donated to us, and several other equipment. This allow us to measure all aspects of sleep like brain activity, eye movements, muscle tension, breathing, heart rate, blood-oxygen level, ...

Interesting in seeing what sleep looks like on an EEG?
Do you want to observe a brain falling asleep?
Do you want to measure your own sleep and see your sleep phases?
Participate in one of our experiments as a subject or come join our student initiative!
